A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Monday, May 8th to mark the start of our newest project in the Birmingham area. The new HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital will be located near the intersection of I-65 and Hwy. 52 in Pelham, Alabama and is our client’s seventh hospital in the state. HealthSouth representatives, local city officials, the design team and the MJH project team were all on hand to celebrate the beginning of construction on the new facility.
The 44,230 square foot hospital will include 34 private patient rooms, on-site therapy gym, courtyard and innovative rehabilitation technologies and provide physical rehabilitation to patients who have suffered stroke, trauma, brain and orthopedic injuries, as well as other major illnesses and injuries. The hospital is scheduled for completion in March 2018.
