Friday, September 13th “BED DAY” was an exciting day for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama (RMHCA) as they replaced all their old beds - 41 rooms - with brand new Tempur-Pedic beds! The beds were donated by Tempur-Pedic. Lance Couch, Paul Hedgepath, Adam Inzina and Matt Shell (pictured) volunteered to help with the installation / set-up, and breakdown / removal process.
About Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama:
RMHCA is committed to enhancing the lives of children and their families, with a primary emphasis on facilitating access to pediatric healthcare for residents of Alabama and adjacent states: RMHCA provides a safe, affordable, supportive “home-away-from-home” for sick or injured children and their families when they travel to Birmingham for medical treatment. The Ronald McDonald House is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. On any night, you will likely find 41 families and approximately 100 individual guests at RMHCA. They charge just $5 to $10 per night for services that cost more than $65 per night to provide. Last year, the House provided over 1,100 guest stays, and an estimated 35,000 stays since the House opened in 1979.More on RMHCA:http://www.rmhca.org/
