The scope consists of the build out of approximately 18,750 sf of shell space in the 709 MOB Building into a 23 private bed Medical/Surgical Nursing Unit. The second level of the 709 MOB Building is connected to the first level of the existing hospital. The scope also calls for the heavy renovation of approximately 4,200 sf of the west end of Wing "A" on the second floor of the hospital's Patient Bed Tower. This existing space will be renovated into 9 private patient rooms and ancillary nursing support space. Finally, the scope calls for the cosmetic renovation of approximately 21,000 sf of existing space within the hospital. All existing Medical/Surgical patient rooms and patient toilet rooms on the second and third floors, the Labor & Delivery rooms and patient toilet rooms on the third floor and some partial corridor refurbishment make up the scope of the cosmetic renovation. No patient beds are added or deleted as a result of this project. It is the intent of this project to privatize as many patient rooms as possible.
