The vibrant city of Vestavia Hills is a mountainous suburb in Birmingham, Alabama. It is known for being a safe, family-friendly community with a growing economy and population. M. J. Harris was contracted to complete the most high profile project in the city — a new City Hall and Police Headquarters. Our team provided exceptional leadership, superior expertise, and thoughtful coordination throughout the build. The striking, two-story City Hall building is 26,600 square feet with a large, open lobby and a light-washed stone facade. Adjacent to City Hall is a separate 24,000-square-foot, two-story police building. The Police Headquarters house a holding facility with detention grade products and systems consistent with the security requirements of a medium-security facility. Our work on the Vestavia Hills City Hall and Police Headquarters set a new precedent for building excellence in the community. The beautiful, modern facilities are a beacon of progress and prosperity for the city.
