Our project team at the UAB School of Nursing recently had the opportunity to influence a group of young people interested in careers in the construction industry. The high school students, who are a part of the ACE Mentor Program in Birmingham, were given a tour of the addition and renovations being made to the existing School of Nursing and given the chance to ask questions about the progress of the project.
The ACE Mentor Program is designed to introduce local high school students to a wide range of career opportunities open to young people in the fields of architecture, engineering and related areas of building design and construction.
