M. J. Harris completed construction of the replacement hospital at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri in less than 15 months. The total time for design and construction was only 18 months, which is half of the time typically needed for a project of this magnitude. The state-of-the-art, 250-bed facility is situated on a 64-acre campus in southeastern Missouri, and the new 8-story hospital totals more than 425,000 square feet. The topography of the site allowed for support services to be located on the ground floor providing convenient access to Material Management, Pharmacy, Lab and Dietary Services. The Emergency Department, Outpatient Surgery, Surgical Services, PACU and Imaging are located on the first floor. The patent tower houses a second floor Intensive Care Unit and a Women’s Center on the third floor. The upper floors feature private patient rooms.
